OUR STORY

In April of 2012, during a ministry leaders conference in Tacoma, WA, the vision for Seed2Life International was planted in the heart of our founder and board president, Brian Hetzer – by helping to resource and equip churches and ministries around world, we help them fulfill their God-given purpose to serve others and share the Gospel.

Just a short couple of months later (June 2012) seven friends with a similar passion gathered in Yakima, WA for our first board of directors meeting and officially established Seed2Life International. The initial board of directors included Brian & Debra Hetzer, Joel and Mallory Huibregtse, Mark Hesseltine, Kristi Andring (now Smith), Tamera Ralston and Danielle Beaudry (now Smith).

We envisioned Seed2Life being a catalyst for helping people help people. Not only did we want to equip those on the frontlines of serving those who struggle in their communities, but we also desired Seed2Life to be an easy way for people with resources to share to be able to strategically do that in ways that provide tangible, life-changing impact they can be proud of.

As our Seed2Life story continues to be written, we are excited for the opportunities God brings to partner with Him in restoring hope and transforming lives. As a team, we are in great anticipation for the amazing stories that will continue to be written as we invest into life-changing ministries, missions, and churches all over the globe. Isaiah 58:10 tells us that when we feed the hungry and help those in trouble, it’s then that our light will shine! We are excited for what lies ahead as we help to support what God is already doing around the world to continue shining the Light of Christ into communities.

Bio
I enjoy training leadership and facilitating strategic planning, with my biggest strengths being my teaching gifts. I bring 25+ years of development experience to Seed2Life, including developing techniques and systems in all areas of fundraising (target marketing, direct mail, major donor solicitation, donor stewardship and planned giving). I’ve applied these skills in a variety of organizations including Christian ministries, the Red Cross, Make-A-Wish, museums, and educational institutions. I also have a legal background. I enjoy dabbling in the financial markets and woodworking/crafting. Over the years, as a lover of music, I’ve worked as a Jazz radio programmer at four different radio stations and played as part of several church worship teams. I look forward to leveraging my gifts, talents and experience to help further build God’s Kingdom through Seed2Life.

Debra Hetzer

Secretary

Bio

I desire to see people know they are loved by God and that He has a beautiful plan and purpose for their lives.

I’m most passionate about helping those who are lost, broken, and hurting. Lives are changed and miracles are seen when we share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s through His love and mercy that broken lives are mended and hurting hearts are healed. I’m excited and honored to be a part of the Seed2Life team!

In addition to exhortation and giving, I have the gift of administration. I look forward to using my gifts and experience to assist Seed2Life International in helping others see their ministry goals become reality.

Brian Hetzer

Executive Director

Bio

Some years ago, I wrote out my Life’s Vision & Purpose – ‘To maintain an intimate relationship with Jesus; seeing His truths come alive in my life as I live a servant life that inspires, encourages, and blesses those around me. I envision myself helping churches/communities to develop sustainable Kingdom growing outreach ministry and helping individuals in the Body of Christ to discover their Kingdom purpose and ways to serve God through it.’

God has continued to fulfill His purpose and vision for my life. Over the years I’ve served in a variety of church and faith-based nonprofit leadership roles, including board chair/executive director of Love INC of Yakima, Director of Outreach at Stone Church (Yakima, WA), Volunteer Coordinator for Horizon Hospice (Spokane, WA) and Volunteer Program Supervisor for Feed My Starving Children (Mesa, AZ).

I also earned a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University.

Today, I am excited to serve as part of the leadership team of Seed2Life International.

Jessica Kuemerle

Bio

I am looking forward to what God has planned for Seed2Life and personally serving as part of the team. My life experiences have given me compassion for the poor, lonely, elderly, disabled, and especially orphans.  My personal mission experience began in the home with foster and adopted children and has taken me to Mexico and Guatemala as well. I hope to be involved with many more trips; being the “Hand of God” to hurting people all over the world.  It is a privilege to be part of the Seed2Life team; doing my part to help enable other ministries to be effective for the Kingdom of God.

Rhonda Beatty

Prayer Team Coordinator

Bio

Over my 58 years of serving Jesus it’s been through the difficult seasons that I’ve learned the power and peace that comes from spending time with the Father in prayer. I’m excited to join the Seed2Life team as the Prayer Team Coordinator. My passion is praying for ministries and the needs of others and to see people find the freedom that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus.  I believe prayer is the key to heaven and faith unlocks the door. I believe that God is calling His people to pray.

OUR Beliefs

Learn More

Section 1.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God equally in all parts and without error in its original manuscripts, absolutely infallible and our source of supreme revelation from God. It is superior to conscience and season, though not contrary to reason and it is therefore our infallible rule of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16,17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12)

Section 2.

We believe in one God who has revealed Himself in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, all co-eternal, all standing equally superior to time and free from the temporal distinction of past and future. (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalm 90:2, Psalm 102:27, 1 Timothy 1:17, John 1:1-3 & 10-18, Hebrews 1:8, 1 John 1:2, Micah 5:2, Revelation 1:8, Hebrews 9:14, Romans 1:20)

Section 3.

We believe in the pre-existence, incarnation and virgin birth of Jesus Christ who came into this world to reveal the Father, and was the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person; that Jesus Christ was the Creator of all things, for by Him the worlds were made. We further believe that in Jesus Christ dwell all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and that He was very God and very Man. (John 1:1,2 & 14, 1 Timothy 3:16, Acts 7:37-38, Matthew 1:18 & 23, Isaiah 7:14)

Section 4.

We believe in Jesus Christs sinless life, miracles, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection and His ascension into Heaven and acknowledge His Lordship that Jesus Christ is Lord over all things in heaven and in earth and under the earth. (Philippians 2:9-11)

Section 5.

We believe that man was created by a direct and immediate act of God (Genesis 1:26-27 & 2:4)

Section 6.

We believe that man by transgression fell from a state of righteousness and holiness in which he was first created, into total spiritual depravity, a state of death in trespasses and sins in which he is held as a slave of sin and an enemy of God, being unable to attain divine righteousness by his own efforts, but must be redeemed and delivered by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ alone. (Romans 5:12-21, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Ephesians 2:1-10)

Section 7.

We believe that each believer must lay a foundation of Biblical truth and experience upon which he builds his/her life. (Hebrews 6:1-3)

Section 8.

We believe that repentance and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ projects the work of justification in the believer; for it is through faith in the shed blood of Christ, one is justified and made a partaker in the death of Christ. This is the initial step of salvation. (Romans 5:1-9, Luke 22:20)

Section 9.

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is being manifested in the church through the fruits of the Spirit (Galations 5:22-23) and must/should be operative in the individual believer in order for the Church to enjoy Gods fullness. We also hold that these gifts and graces are imparted by the sovereignty of the Holy Spirit and only work or operate by this one and self-same Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:11)

Section 10.

We believe that we are saved by grace through faith. We further believe that the emphasis for a continuous walk in grace is necessary for heart righteousness and purity, believing in the keeping power of God, walking after the Spirit and not after the flesh (Ephesians 2:8-9), Galations 5:13-26)

Section 11.

We believe that the church is the Body of Christ expressed as the church individual, the church local and the church universal. As such, we believe the church to be more than just a building or a gathering of people, but a manifestation or the hands and feet of Christ Himself. It is a body living in relationship and harmony under the direction of the Head, Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 6:15, 2 Corinthians 1:1, Romans 16:5, 1 Peter 2:4-5, Ephesians 2:19-22)

Section 12.

We believe in Christs bodily ascension into heaven, in His exaltation and His personal return in power and great glory, and His everlasting Kingdom and dominion (Acts 1:11 & 3:19-21, Daniel 7:14, Revelation 20:4)

Section 13.

We believe that marriage ordained and designed by God is between one man and one woman (1 Corinthians 7:2-3, Matthew 19:4-6, Ephesians 5:21-33)

Section 14.

We believe that is the deep heart of God for His people to reach out with love and compassion to the poor; utilizing opportunities as God presents them to share the Good News of Jesus, make disciples and build His church. We also recognize that any labors we make with such efforts will only manifest themselves to glorify God through the power of the Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 34:2-6, Isaiah 61:1-3, Isaiah 58:10, 1 Corinthians 3:6, Matthew 25:35-40, Zechariah 4:6, Acts 1:8)

Section 15.

We believe that it is our mandate to not only care for and help those in our immediate locale (domestically), but also to reach out to those in need globally (internationally). (Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19-20)

Section 16.

We believe that God blesses us in abundance so that we can be a blessing to others. God gives to us in abundance so that we can give in abundance. In addition, we believe that when we give back to God through tithes and offerings God takes that as seed planted and He makes it grow in order to glorify Himself. (2 Cor. 9:10-13, 1 Corinthians 3:6, Deuteronomy 15:4-8 & 8:18, 1 Chron. 22:14-16. 2 Corinthians 8:7)

Section 17.

We believe that God has blessed each of us with at least one gift (spiritual) from his great variety of spiritual gifts and we are to use them well to invest into His Kingdom; serving one another in love. (1 Peter 4:10, Matthew 25:14-30, Galations 5:13)

Section 18.

We believe that God is a God of order and that there is a method and purpose behind all that He does and all that He calls us to do; which entails prayerful planning, goal setting and writing down this vision or plan so that it can be shared and followed. (Proverbs 29:18, Habakkuk 2:2)
