Visiting Orphans work to keep children in families by creating partnerships with ministries, organizations and team members who promote and advocate for the family, including international/domestic adoption and foster care when needed. Visiting Orphans also partners with ministries that work in and with orphanages, ensuring that children know they are loved. As part of the active role, Visiting Orphans takes in fulfilling their mission, they send short-term mission teams each year to serve alongside over 40 partners ministries in 14 countries.
One of the countries they serve is El Salvador; in partnership with Sus Hijos, a ministry located in San Salvador (the capital), that serve children in local orphanages, feed the homeless and builds homes for families in need. Recently, a family of 12, on the verge of losing their children due to poor living conditions, were in need of a permanent home in order to keep the family together. Seed2Life International, in partnership with Visiting Orphans, Starfish Orphan Minsitry (Paducah, KY) and many generous donors, sent a team to San Salvador for a week to build a home for this family, serve children in six orphanages and feed the homeless.
What an honor for Visiting Orphans to get to partner with the team from Seed2Life; seeing God move to help children and families in El Salvador this past March (2016). Special thanks to Brian Hetzer from Seed2Life International, Sus Hijos and Starfish Orphan Ministry who joined forces to build a home for a family of 12, serve the homeless and love on kids and special needs adults from six orphanages. What an amazing trip! We love what God is doing through Seed2Life. It was an absolute joy to partner with you. Thank you!
